For several years we were fortunate to spend the summers in Galway. To the west are the mountains, valleys, loughs and bogs of Connemara. On a good day, looking across Galway Bay from the Salthill Promenade it is possible to see the Burren on the north coast of County Clare and to the right the Aran Islands. A very prominent feature of the landscape is Black Head, a headland to the west of Ballyvaughan in the Burren.
A work in progress.
